My final project was to work of the first few pages of a graphic novel/comic. I could only finish the first page, and the second page is about halfway done. The basic story was going to be of a guy who is fleeing from an unknown antagonist (in a hat). I inked most of the foreground elements, and used charcoal for to texture and shade the backgrounds. I only present the characters here as silhouettes, but on later pages I had planned on drawing their faces in detail.

final project - Austin
Sadly I didn't get to finish my art project (as you can see by the flat overalls, lack of eyebrows etc.). However, due to the fact that I had only 4 days to finish the project, I couldn't work with usual tight and realistic style. So it was sort of an experiment for me, and I painted almost the whole thing with the palette knife and it was a lot of fun.
It's been a fun semester!

Van Gogh and Millet - Austin
Things I'm thinking about and influencing me in my final project. Just thought these were some really wonderful paintings, worth sharing.
