Artist Chakaia Booker uses cut-up, recycled tires to create gorgeous sculptures.

Definitely material alchemy.... I could hardly tell that these pieces were made out of tires.

I really like the shopping cart chair. i never thought about changing a cart into that. I heard using them as gardens, but the chair is pretty cool.

So my paper creations evolved into:

a pyramid pencil holder (only can hold one pencil)

a tent with a fire out front

a monster, with bad hair, eating a cookie

and a pop up love card.

From suitcase to chair. Very cool.

I love jewelry (esp necklaces) that has been made from useless trash or objects, such as soda tabs.

So much fun today... I still can't believe we made this!
