Charlie - Material Alchemy: Wooden Vase

For this project I found a solid piece of a tree trunk. I used the angle grinder to shear off all the bark, and then sanded the whole thing smooth. I then fashioned a jig that allowed me to use the drill press to hollow out the top part of the log. In the end, I put a finish on it. It's not waterproof, so you couldn't actually put flowers with water in it--but fake flowers or real flowers that would just die in a day would work just fine. Take a look below.
