Here is the product of my recent experimentation with wood down at the studio.  I was initially working on creating a lamp shade, but wanted to take better advantage of the space down there while we had it.  This is the frame for a sort of end table that I still hope to finish.   It's quite sturdy, and I just plan to put a flat piece of lumber for the top, and will perhaps cover that with a piece of fabric to add interesting color.
