What is art?
Nature is art. The natural world brims with order, symmetry, color, beauty, and life. It expresses the cyclical, universal, eternal ideas of prey and predator, summer and winter, life and death. Nature encompasses more artistically significant moments than the entire artificial world put together; every story can be found there. Family, rebirth, and even love. Nature has its tragedies but art doesn't have to be happy. To be called art, a piece must mimic the qualities of a solitary stroll down a sylvan trail: it must prompt inspiration and quiet reflection, even introspection; it must tell a story, no matter how small; it must enlighten and uplift (not so much through happiness, but perhaps hope); it must refresh and strengthen your perception of the world around you.
